SIDON, Lebanon: An 8-year-old Syrian boy was killed and his brother wounded when an unexploded cluster bomb detonated near the town of Adchit in Nabatiyeh Thursday afternoon.

Fadi Mohammad al-Saidi was playing football with his 6-year-old brother, Ismail al-Saidi, when the bomb exploded, thought to be a remnant from previous Israeli aggressions on southern Lebanon.

The brothers were rushed to Sheikh Ragheb Harb Hospital in Toul, where Fadi died of his injuries. Ismail was also wounded in the blast and remains in a stable condition in hospital.
