This article was amended on Thursday, November 15 2018

A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Save the Children Lebanon has been collecting DNA samples from family members of the disappeared, citing spokesperson Rona Halabi. Rather, the International Committee of the Red Cross has collected the samples, and Halabi is an ICRC spokesperson. The Daily Star regrets this error.
