A power plant employee had a miraculous escape Sunday, after a lightning strike sparked a fierce blaze that burned down a hydraulic and electric power station in south Lebanon.Ali Akil was operating the stations control room when a lightning strike ignited a devastating fire in a power station in the Jilo valley in Tyre. The hydraulic and electric power station, which was commissioned by Speaker Nabih Berri twenty years ago, included a water pumping station that consisted of 50 water wells, supplying water to over 70 villages.
