With podcasts rising in popularity, a new audio series is set to launch this Fall, seeking to spread Arab-region arts and culture stories. Mudawanat, a joint project by Culture Resource and the British Council, aims to encourage the creation and accessible distribution of audio content in Arabic.Mudawanat has received around 220 applications from 15 countries, with 37 percent coming from Egypt and 4.4 coming from Lebanon.The selected dozen will take part in a training program in November, culminating in the production of Mudawanat's first two seasons of podcasts, set to be released in February and May 2020 .
